Murphy's Big Night Out

Murphys Big Night Out

Client: Murphy's

Murphy's Big Night Out 2009 was one of Irelands first "Indoor Winter Festivals" and took place on December 5th 2009 in Cork Opera House. This event brought the Little Big Night Out series to a spectacular close with ticket requests more than 9 times the capacity of the venue. The Main Stage played host to Mercury Prize nominated Florence and the Machine and London based melodic indie popstars The Magic Numbers, Irish songstress Lisa Hannigan, American experimental folksters Megafaun and one of Ireland's most talked about new bands Villagers and Cork's very own Ian Whitty and The Exchange.

In keeping with Murphy's mission to celebrate all that is good and great about Cork, The Murphy's Little Big Stage featured the cream of Ireland's new musical talent including O Emperor, Hope Is Noise, Armoured Bear, Annette Buckley, Slow Motion Heroes and Circus Cats. Gourmet local food was on sale and cinema screens showed the Best of Cork Film programme, including Tunnel from Patrick O'Shea and Hatch from Damian McCarthy.
