Green Planet Awards

The Green Planet Awards was an initiative targeted at third level students developed by Real Events to increase the public's awareness around a host of environmental issues. The objective was to create debate and discussion among college level students and encourage them to call their peers to action. Rosanna Davison hosted the Awards ceremony in Cultivate which was attended by many media and political representatives. 10 universities and colleges were represented from around the country. Students were fully supported with a project team and a PR & marketing support team which they could use as a sounding board for all their campaign ideas.

The aim of the Green Planet Awards was to empower people with information in relation to critical eco-issues to better their knowledge and understanding, enabling them to make informed decisions that most effectively contribute to mitigating climate change.
