Client: Coca-Cola Ireland

The Form + Fusion Design Awards was created by Real Events Managing Director Aidine O’Reilly in 1998.  The brief for students was to create outlandish costumes from recycled materials.  Annually, 12,000 students participated throughout Ireland.  The Late Late Show, Gerry Kelly, RTE and BBC News covered the event each year and thousands came to watch the 38 regional fashion shows.  The Grande Finale was held in The Point Depot and hosted by Ray Darcy with over 6,000 people in attendance.

“Coca-Cola came on board as sponsors for ‘The Coca-Cola Form + Fusion Design Awards’ in 1998 recognising a simple but groundbreaking idea which offered students a multidimensional approach to creativity. It was a spectacular success. Real Events had an in-depth knowledge of the market. The event, which spans over a 7 month period, was professionally run, efficient and cost effective and Real Events delivered on every element. The energy and creativity that went into making the show a success is undeniable and the team inspired confidence in Coca-Cola at all times. It will be a pleasure to work with Real Events again.”
