Real Events are currently developing interactive workshops for transition year students with the Ballymun Rediscovery Centre. Students will learn about waste management, composting and cradle to cradle design though a host of innovative and engaging activities which will relate directly to the second level science curriculum, building on the strands of the science curriculum, specifically analytical skills such as observation; monitoring and interpretation. Students will also be introduced to the concept of effective waste management and environmental impact. All workshops will be reviewed and piloted by teachers and in schools.

The Rediscovery Centre will provide a new generation of creative waste and energy management centres where all aspects of waste and energy are demonstrated at one central site. The centre will comprise of a local recycling centre, a regional resource recovery centre and a national waste and energy education and training centre. It will encourage innovative recycling and reuse programmes.
